XLR anton bauer gold mount alternative solution?

I am interested in purchasing external power, which will go alongside the internal power via the Side Handle.
Since all these mounts from RED or 3rd party are either expensive or backordered, would it just be possible to get:

and then I'd purchase a RED cable like this:

Is this a viable solution? I would then purchase like 3 95W GMP batteries and I should be done no? (other than mounting)

Why not just buy the Anton Bauer product that is meant for this application?

Is it backordered at the moment? I got two of them six months ago, no problem.
If so, and you are in a hurry, then, yes, your solution will work.

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes I was also considering that version, but at $395 vs $250 and having a more universal system (as it will be 4pin XLR in between) I would see the benefits of my thoughts. Not because I'm in a hurry, but more to save a few bucks (I do understand that sometimes backfires) without really compromising the system.
Ok, there will be an extra connection in the system, but if its a stable connection, why not I thought. Thanks for the info Harry
