In the XEEN CF Pro Short Film above, there seems to be some weird shit going on in the skintones of the guy and the girl. Normally when you correct the skintone of one person you correct everyone else's as well, unless they are under different light sources. I noticed they chose to go with a blue grade with this video. Sometimes a blueish grade is just a grade and sometimes its used to help solve a predominant Yellow issue in an image.


Here is a scene from the video. With the Blue grade, her skin looks too magenta/pink and his skintone just looks washed out.

When you try to correct for her skintone, his skin turns yellow

It seems you have to correct for his skintone to have a chance at getting her's and his's right, which has shift more magenta/pink.
