  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WWW.REDCAM411.COM - Web address for sale or trade

hmm. red usually has a problem with things like this. i doubt youll have many takers.

I agree with you Mr. Bernard. Wasn't their a company call RED 4K Ninji's. I think they had to change the name as well as the web address due to having RED in their name which is a registered tradmark.

To bad he deleted his own post, he raised a valid point. RED is very diligent in defending their trademarks and IP. I don't see a real issue with the domain name itself, but for anyone buying it, they would be wise to get in touch with RED's legal department and make sure they can proceed with whatever concept they're trying to implement.

We do frown on thread-crapping here, such as bursting into a thread to tell someone their price is too high or whatnot. It's a grey area or a fine line to walk I guess, but I don't see how raising the question of a potential trademark issue is really out of line here. And yes, the "RED NINJAS" had to change their name (and web domain name) to the "4K NINJAS" for this reason.

Correct Jeff..

Trademark infringement, it is not just about a name or a specific name trademarked, or logo, but it is in essence a series of regulations applied as far as the original Trademarker wanted to be, as to protect their branding arena, in the case of Red in the Cinema, Still Motion Capture devises and their affiliations with the Film Industry.

HOwever if this Name & Logo is to be used with anything not related directly with RED's products lines of interest, then there will be no issue.

@ Jim, mostly in this community we try to look out for each other and be nice to each other, there are however the occasional Trolls which kinda of ruined for all, but Moderators are very attempt to this, and so are we in reporting it, but some times a little understanding of were some one might be coming form is also needed not to jump immediately to conclusions that the reply was meant to do arm, in whihc case of Bernard, I didn't see it to be so.

Good luck with your sale here Jim, nice name and nice logo.
