Also, This may be a stupid newbie question, but on the RED site, it states the 48gb SSD is compatible with the RED one, does that mean that I can't use higher SSD sizes? (128gb or 256gb is what I was shooting for).

Yes, the other sizes 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB are compatible.

Be careful with the 48GB. On the RED ONE download page it says it is not compatible:

I've got a barely used RED ONE SSD Module I might be willing to sell. I figure it is going to be sitting gathering dust for a few months and I can just re-buy it in a couple months when I'm in need of one. So if anyone is in desperate need and needs it ASAP hit me up - I might be able to help you out

I'm not looking to make money or lose money on this deal so selling at store price (what I paid) only. That way I'm not kicking myself in a few months when I need to repurchase. Just trying to help someone in need
