Ketch, just to help you out, I will share what I recently learned. The original delivery date/serial number benefits do not pass on to the new buyer, the date of delivery for you would be the date that the camera got re-certified by RED or when you told them the camera info should now be tied to you. So, really, unless you're getting a great deal on used accessories, It's smarter to just buy directly from RED.

I also wrote to Kelly to insure that the action I take will be the best one, considering the fact that I intend to upgrade all RED ONEs to EPICs.

I think you are a Saint so let me make a suggestion to you...Since you have been so very helpful to so many people here maybe you could save yourself some trouble and some cash by calling in a few favors.

What if someone you have helped has more than one Red and all of them early#1-500...Couldn`t you arrange a deal with them so that if they are getting an Epic by trade in maybe you can use one of their other early R1`s laying as body for your Epic?

I am sure you have many ways to return the favor...:bleh:

Worth a try and it never hurts to ask especially since you always ask so nicely and respectfully.

Thanks for your kind comments, much appreciated and will definitely give that a shot as well, looking to all and best options here, as a I surely would love to be able to get few of the earlier EPICs and SCARLETs to use in the filming of my first feature "UNCONDITIONAL".
