Does anyone out there know where I can get ahold of the rear screw in ND's for the 8mm peleng fisheye?

thanks in advance.

what are they worth - I have one which I use mainly for underwater and think I might have a few of these.

I'm not really sure of the worth, cause I can't find them anywhere.

Okay.

If you guys get together and do a group buy, and put all your filter holders that you got when you bought the lens (they have each came with one clear, one multicoated clear, one green, and one orange) into one box I can turn them into ND.6 filters.

You'll want to keep your clears and multicoated clears so the lenses focus according to the scale. If you pull the filter then the lens will focus almost to the front of the lens but not reach infinity.

I haven't made these filters for a few years but I have ND.6 optical resin filter material (same as used for eyeglasses) and I have sold about 100 of these for Pelengs in the past.

I'm moving to a new shop though so it should take a while to get to.

The only problem is I only have one clear as I got mine from ebay. I would be happy to buy a ring + .6 from you though.

Thanks,
Ryan

I don't have the threaded aluminum filter rings that come with new Pelengs. Only special 1mm thick (correct) ND .6 filters to put in your rings.

I as well do not have those filters. I suppose I will have to dig some up.

I would buy an ND filter also!

Dave

I would be willing to pay extra for not having a ring.

If those with extra rings would get a discount for contributing some of their spares, this might work out great!

I think I found a source - try here - this was the original ebay seller of my lens, but this is their retail/online storefront (I didn't know this when I bought the lens, the store address just came up in our email interactions...). But I just ordered some filters via my ebay connection to the seller, my cost was $17, but I did purchase the lens through their ebay store as well.

I'm not sure if they sell the filter sets separately. Someone else would have to ask about it.

It would be great to have one of these converted to ND, the lens could certainly use one.

Ok, so I just talked to Doug and he said if I can get 10 people to each send him a filter ring, he will put N6 in them for $45 per filter. So PM me if you want in on this. Unfortunately N6 is the strongest glass he has with the appropriate thickness to maintain back focus. But N6 is better than N Zero.
