  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WTB Leica R Super Elmarit 2.8/15mm ASPH

Hi Chad,

I have one but not for sale. They are getting scarce. I got one in mint condition for 6K but lately I've been seeing more like 8K on eBay.

If you don't want to spend $8K, I'd put one on a watch list and see what comes up. But I have a feeling they will stay around that price for a good one. Prices for "buy it now" lenses pretty much follow market price. You can usually make an offer for about 10% less and the will accept. Or wait for a true auction and try to get lucky. Bidnapper is the best way to go in that case.

Good luck! It's a beautiful lens. Very little distortion.

Thanks Mark. I've found one seller at $4600 which is a little more realistic than what they are going for on eBay...but they've stopped answering their email. Hopefully I can find one in decent shape.
 
70-180 is an incredible lens. Talk to Duclos about the conversion to shorten the tripod collar and getting a gear on the zoom ring.

I was the guinea pig on the 70-180. Matt did a fabulous job. Looks just like your Brian!

He also made a rod to get to my ET 15mm LW lens support.
