Hi,

i need two 160's. If someone change to bigger capacity and sell one (or two), please PM me!

Thanks...

Hi,
I just bought a few 190s. Yesterday while testing for a shoot, we setup our R1 and powered a Bartech FF from the D-tap off the battery plate (tried directly off the battery also). When pushing the FF a little bit, it would either crash or turn off the camera. This did not happen with a Red battery. I have three brand new GlobalMedaiPro 190 batts. I only got to test one, but I will test the others when I get a chance, so see if this is just happeing with one battery. Otherwise they are fine, jsut cannot power additionnal accessories. I will write to GMP to see what they make of this.
Cheers,
Damien

GMP 's reply:

"The battery power is 90W and 60W is taken by the camera leaving 30W for the rest of your equipment. It is possible that the electric motor of the FF requires more than 30W on peaks - especially when it starts moving overpowering the static friction. Red battery possibly provides a little bit more power which covers the power draw of the motor.

GMP only offers one model for RED with 100W - the Li230S-R

You may need to test the motor to be sure it does not leak power or simply needs lubrication. And we would recommend to put a large
electric motor on the same circuit with the camera."

I must say, their service is efficient, I received my batteries exactly one week after making the wire transfer, and got a reply to my enquiry within a few hours. Never the less, these batteries, although of a higher capacity than Red batteries, offer less power.

Peter, if you're interested, I'm willing to sell them. I'm going to buy some Red batts...

Cheers,
Damien
