  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WTB: Bartech FF

If you haven't already, check the steadicam forum, they come up for sale fairly regularly there. But to be honest, used prices are pretty close to new.

Yeah, say what you want, but the Bartech hold it's value remarkably well. And they sell quick.

I have both an m-one motor, and a couple of the mp 26 Hedens. I have used the vertical Hedens, and the prestons quite a bit. The m-one has a really great mounting system with a nice articulated cable connection. It's lighter than a Preston, about the same weight as a Heden vertical, heavier than the Heden mp 26. It's loud at full tilt, but I have never ever had anyone complain about the noise. It's almost too torquee. If the M-one can't turn a lens, there is something wrong with the lens. The M-one comes with all of the gears you could ever want, and all the mounting brackets you could evre need - 15mm,19mm, Panavision, and a dog leg. I have 2 Bartechs and I really like them. They are very very reliable, cheap to maintain and service, and they are really light to mount on a camera for steadicam or handheld, much lighter than a preston system.

Used ones seem to be the in $2500-$3000 range for motor, controller and cables. How much are new ones?
