  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WTB 50mm T1.3 K35 LENS ANY CONDITION

Hi Jacek,
The lenses including the 50 that I have do have Canon colours. I do remember that Rental companies in the UK lobbied Canon extensively for a 50 not the 55 as most are. Maybe they finally did get around to doing as we asked. My set came from a store [cache] of many lenses that were originally bought by the biggest UK house of the day.
Its a long time ago and maybe we will never find the answer. However; there are so many about, now dicovered from this thread, it is obviously a serious update and it looks like Canon made them. Most conversions by Moviecam were from a set of FD SLR lenses numbering 11 in the set.
Cheers for now.

And here are two pictures of the rear element. The second one I took five minutes ago.

There are several people on reduser which have the 50mm instead of the 55mm. I've been told that the 50mm is a newer design than the 55mm. Mine is made in 1987.

Edit: Jeff kiefer also has them. you can see them on his website: http://www.jeffkieffer.com/redrental.htm

Edit 2: If you want to see pictures of my full set: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4357312/K-35.zip

I have an old rental catalogue from Samuelson 1994. Their list of K35s nomenclature:

Mk2 Super Canon 24mm T1.5/35mm T1.3/50mm T 1.3/85mm T 1.3 these glow in the dark.

Canon Ultra speed as above but with 55mm T 1.3 these do not glow in the dark

Canon Super speed 24mm T 1.6 / 35mm T1.4/55mm T 1.4 / 85mm T 1.4 do not glow in dark.

18mm was separate rental.

I have a set of K35s from around 1981 - Jacek did the PL Mounts - the set has a 55mm and has focus and iris gears with white markings. The later sets with the 50mm only seem to have gears on focus and has the indents on Iris ring.
