Wrong WB in Proxies

Hi There,

I know this probably has been addressed like a trizillion times here at the forum, but I can't find it ...

My proxies are showing me a diferent white balance in Quicktime and in FCP, when I open them in Red Alert the temperature is right, I tried changing it a bit an them making new proxies, but when I go back to QT or FCP it's still wrong.

I am running:

- Build 21.
- Mac OS 10.6.2
- QT 10.0 (don't know what happened to pro version in this OS)
- FCP 7.0

Anyone has a clue ?

Quicktime currently does not support the new color science. So all of your proxies will have the a different WB than the RED apps.

so what's everyone doing for a fast cut in FCP ?

Lots of different options for workflows. Most of us are cutting with ProRes proxies, since the camera proxies can be a little weird sometimes.
