Wrong OLPF Setting when shooting - consequences!?

Hi there,
last week I was on a shoot and my first ac changed the OLPF from the standard one to the skin tone highlight one.
Unfortunately he didn't change the setting in the menu. I as well forget to check.
Since we are capturing R3D I don't think its a big deal. However I´m wondering what this setting is doing exactly.

Does anyone have some more insight in that?

You can switch it in RCXp, but it actually needs to make a copy of all the footage/shots (like it makes a new r3d trim with the different OLPF decode).
