I ordered this monitor in a hurry hoping I could use it as the director's monitor but found out it does not work my RED Scarlet,

Connected via the HD-SDI port on the camera to the back of the monitor with a BNC cable. The monitor recognizes an input signal when connected but it just cannot resolve the image so it is just a snowy sprinkle across the screen.

Does anyone know a video converter I can use to be able to use this monitor to view images from my scarlet to the monitor ?

Thanks, Oje

It doesnt take an hd-sdi signal even thgough the connector is the same - try blackmagic or aja but i'm not sure. you might want to check from hdmi to composite as well

Kirk, thanks, yes I know now. I will be getting the Blackmagic next time. I was just hoping this one would not go to waste, if I could find some kind of video converter to make it work.

You could put an HDMI to DVI adapter on the monitor and send it and HDMI signal. If you used the Paralinx Arrow, you wouldn't have to worry about cables. It would cost a bit more than an HDMI to HD-SDI converter, but ti is a much more elegant solution.

Yes Oje - Check the AJA or Black Magic converters - PRobably you'd get something to work through HDMI. Did you manage a work around?
