We're discussing it. But, look at the original thread... Mostly just people arguing and attacking. There's no place for that here.

There was more than one polite request made by mods in the original thread to knock off the personal stuff and the arguing that went largely ignored.

We don't really have time to babysit a thread for the one or two people who actually control themselves and post with a little common courtesy.

And, starting multiple threads about it doesn't encourage us to want to re-open anything. Best handled via pm (as you yourself have just stated). Though, you weren't the original poster of the thread in question, so...

This is intended to be a productive site about digital cinema (and mostly RED). Religion, politics, opinions about social conditions, etc. can best be handled somewhere else. What possible good comes from discussing these here?

Off Topic means that it doesn't fit in any of the other categories. But it still means discussions about digital cinema. You want to talk about Canon, 4/3rds, or anything close... no problem. But if you want to mask unproductive arguments about something totally irrelevant... then do it privately or on some other website. We don't have time to deal with this. You should know this without an explanation.

Let me be very clear here... if it isn't about digital cinema or is a discussion that fuels personal attacks, don't be surprised at all if it disappears. Pretty easy stuff to understand.
