  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Would you purchase a new side handle, even though...

Would you purchase a new side handle for universal cameras for weapon with a 60wh battery (it will run your camera about 45min)?

Okay, let's say simpler way, would you purchase a battery powered side handle that doesn't communicate with camera?

Handle grip will be look almost identical with original one :)

I just wonder how you guys think about it.

I'm not quite following? A battery in handle form?

I agree with Owen a dumb side handle is of limited use. It needs a start/stop and at least some assignable buttons. I have always used my Red Side Handle to control everything.

I only want 1:1 focus check. But there are buttons on the Sidekick that are programmable so that takes care of that. I'm really liking the current offer of the DSMC Outrigger handle with start and stop button.

If it had better ergonomics than the original, and a better grip material. Like a Canon.

How about if it hat wireless control like the Foolcontoll app.
Maybe we just tape an iPhone to a battery. ; )
