Award-winning colorist Dado Valentic is bringing his renowned color science training to Miami. Hosted at RED’s showroom in the Wynwood Art District, aspiring colorists will receive in-depth instruction throughout a two-day immersive course. All students will be rewarded with the ICA - International Colourist Academy certificate.
COLOUR TRAINING IN MIAMI
Our first training in Miami is scheduled from 20-23 July. We will do our two most popular courses Resolve 201 and Commercials Masterclass.
Colour Training is a specialist training provider for colour in Film and Commercials.
We have developed a programme based on current industry standards where students will get familiar with hardware, software, professional workflows and tips that will make our students more confident and help them develop a personal style.

Resolve 201
July 20-21
Ideal for current Resolve users, this class features all advanced and hidden features of Davinci Resolve V12 that will turn you into a power user. These classes are normally capped at eight-ten students with each person getting a workstation. We start the class by looking at color correction in general and how to achieve the best image quality. We will teach techniques and technologies like RAW and UHD and workflow tips that colourist encounter in real life environments. We will work through the project from start to finish, using Resolve V12 and general colorist strategies to get the job finished. Students are also encouraged to bring their own material so the instructor together with the students can grade and discuss the different formats and challenges.

Commercials Masterclass
July 22-23
This Masterclass is designed for industry professionals as a preparation and training program for employment inside high-end Commercials Colour Grading facility. In this course the participants will focus on a fashion brand commercial released internationally on multiple platform: TV, online, outdoors and in-store. We will look at the commercial from preparation for grading through to the final deliverables for multiple platforms. Apart from the obvious colour grading work we will also take an extensive look at the new features in Resolve V12 for VFX, compositing and mastering from a commercial perspective.
