Hi all,
Posted it on the Blackmagic forum as well.
I decided to tackle dreaded IR pollution problem from Blackmagic cameras and I have come up with a way to "fix" it in post. So far the solution works on BMPCC 4K footage, Blackmagic Pocket footage and some other cameras including RED (random footage online). Although not a miracle solution, it does a pretty good job but I need more HI RES footage from various film cameras to make it work in the majority of cases.
I am requesting sample frames or footage to test it against. If you have any, please send.
Requirements are:
- 4k Resolution
- R3D, Prores 422 or BMraw 3:1 or equivalent compression. )
- Single frames or 2sec max sample footage
- Color checker in footage would be even better but not necessary.
Thanks.
J.
