I'm just checking in on some do's and dont's of working in extremely low temperatures.

1. What's the textbook way of avoiding condensation on optics and camera when you have to move betqween indoors and outdoors?

2. If condensation happens, what should one do. I've heard and seen many ways of dealing with it, but some expert advice would be very helpful

Now I'm no expert but from my limited experience shooting below -15c I've noticed the main problem I've had is with cables freezing almost solid. Try and create camera setups that avoid external cables as much as possible. In most of the situations I've been, leaving the camera in the case as long as possible when outside and when coming indoors to allow temperature equalization seems to help. I also use softcases which probably seem to allow the temperatures to equalize faster than something like a Pelican. My understanding is that at really low temperatures the humidity is extremely low. The problem temp zone seems to be when Its around freezing point and raining/misty etc.
