Working in San Francisco

Hi there!

In april I'm finishing my 3 years school formation in Paris. I'd love to discover and work in a new city for 6 months or a year after that.
In France internships are very commons, I don't know if it is in the USA.

One of the best way to begin in France is doing an internship in a renting camera company to meet with camera crew members and ask for an assistant camera job.
Maybe someone could give me some serious renting company names (for feature film, advertising) in SF. I tried on google but it's hard to form an opinion thousands miles away!
If you have other ideas than the renting company, please, share.

VideoFax in San Francisco or Chater Cameras in Berkeley which is just across the bridge are very nice places to work with cameras. I would additionally seek Borrowlenses in San Carlos which is not far from San Francisco as well.
