Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone had a really high quality workflow technique from Premiere pro, to AE for VFX, back into Premiere, then color correcting in Davinci. My current workflow goes as such: 1- I bring all my media into Premiere and do my edits. 2- Then Dynamic Link the clips that need VFX into AE, do what is needed, then render out the shot as a DPX image sequence to bring back into premiere. 3 - After all the shots are done with their VFX, I Dynamic Link the whole Premiere Sequence into AE for Color Correction, then Render it all out as a DPX to bring back into premiere, where I add my scores and sound FX. 4 - Then do a final render for whatever output I need. I am pretty much self taught in everything, so I'm sure there are better workflows out there, so if you have any insight into benefiting this one great, but here is really where I need the help. I want to add Davinci Resolve into the workflow and want to see the best way of doing this. Knowing that I have VFX shots that need to go into AE, what is the best way to incorporate Davinici Resolve into the workflow while still maintaining the highest quality? I usually like to shoot in 4K even though my final output is only 2K, not sure if that makes a difference. It's a pretty simple question, but I know the answer is very very in depth. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

For things under 10 minutes, I try to do almost everything in AE. lynda.com, digitaltutors.com and fxphd.com have some pretty good tutorials that systematically go through I think what your looking for. (I mentally think of the vfx workflows in differently quality levels ... and these sites lean to these segments ... fxphd.com if you want tv/film quality vfx workflows, digitaltutors web quality&shorts vfx workflow, and lynda.com for corporate vfx). Lynda.com is great for ae & premiere tutorials. With cinema4d & ae integration there's a lot of options, there is a ae/cinema4d teacher on the boards here too (he might be able to lean you some good tutorials). When I do corporate wor in AE, i use linear color spaces, which is fairly non-standard workflow for the ae crowd, so my workflows probably aren't very good for most people.

Great, thank you very much for those websites! I already knew about lynda, but had no idea about the other two. I will definitely check them out.
