Hey guys,
This is my first post here on REDUser (although I am a frequenter of ScarletUser and DVXUser under Banksie312). I am the Cam Op on a RED Feature and am also engineering the workflow for post. I wanted to double check all of my settings and perhaps provide a workflow chart (if it's correct) for other people. I whipped this up on the train today on the way home for my editors. Let me know what you think.

Info about the film: We will be shooting on a RED One in 4k at a 2:1 aspect ratio. We are optimizing for film printing (DPX file). The following are basic workflow settings and this chart is a cheat-sheet. I will have a full workup of detailed setting for each step that will be an addendum to this chart which will expand on each area of work in full detail.
NOTE: Though it does say it on the chart, most of this information was provided by RED's awesome support staff. A lot of this info copied from the RED FCP Whitepaper PDF file.

And the chart itself:

Thanks guys, hope to hear some feedback.

This looks like a very good start.

I suppose you'll be elaborating on the post production workflow as well, as in whether the editors will edit with the QT proxies or do an off-line/on-line workflow instead. There's more than one way to skin a cat here. This is another important decision to make before shooting.

Apart from many other thinks like display 3DLuts... etc.... the best results seems to be with REDLog and -2 in exposure... PDLog685 clips hard...

Its better to do a search in the forum and read a bit...

Thanks guys,
CaptainChunk: I have been trying to figure out the best way to work in FCP (whether with proxies, etc) and am still working on it. Just finding which will suit the project best.

Evangelos: the reason I had chosen PDLOG685 was because within Whitepaper is said that that is the most accurate gamma in post for film out. I will definitely make a note to try REDLog and -2 exposure. Surprisingly I have been reading a lot, I am trying to condense just a little bit because everything is extremely spread out.

N_Villers: That was a typo, I didn't realize it until you said it, thanks (probably saved me a lot of hassle).

Not sure if it's just me, but I can't see the image. Did you remove it? (It could always be my work computer blocking images).
