  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Workflow app to select R3D clips from edl, xml. aaf?

I'm looking for an app that will help us reduce the number of clips we have to take from edit to online. At the moment we basically take all the rushes but as we have a feature coming in to post that has 8Tb of rushes, I'm looking for a way to easily sift through all the rushes and provide us with a folder full of the selected R3Ds that we can then take to the online system.

Does this exist yet? I suspect Clipfinder may do this, even if the only clue is iin the name. I haven't got time to ploughing through the forum seeking knowledge before this arrives so if anyone is kind enough to suggest any names I would be much obliged.

Clipfinder does indeed do this. You can do it with the free version, although for many other reasons I can thoroughly recommend the paid version. It's a bargain at $100!

You load an XML into Clipfinder. Iif you have not done your offline with proxies you then "Replace MOV with R3D". Then you select all in Clipfinder, copy, then paste in Finder to your transit drive.
