Hi everyone!

I made a little passion project short film that I directed and shot called "Words to Someone Else".

It's a portrait piece about my friend Anna, a dancer living in NYC, and her thoughts on a particular day that she called me and left me a voicemail when I selfishly didn't answer the phone. It was incredibly sobering to make.

Shot on RED EPIC MX + Leica R lenses, with a Tokina Cinema Clear Supermist 1/2 filter.

Wow man this is so so good. I watched it before I read your description. I thought, hey, this is fantastic. I wonder what gave him the idea to make this. What a terrific idea. Then I read your description! Holy shit. This is someone's recorded voicemail. And then you asked the person who left the message to be in a film based on that message. Well, hot damn, my friend. Hot damn.

The only thing that I might have changed would be the 1/2 Supermist - I would have chosen a different type of diffusion. But here, we're getting into purely subjective territory.

Love that piece of music, too.
