Just wanna say they're awesome!

They prevent accessories from accidentally sliding off the rail if not tightened properly (just like the Element Technica EVF Mount and Extension)...

I'm also using the NATO Clamp with my LCD and it rocks!

You can find them here...

Id second this our wooden camera kit turned up today and top plate and battery rear mount. Very well made and we couldnt be happier. This kit is good, we will certainly order again.

Setup #1:
I removed the rosette from the top handle and attached a WC 70mm NATO rail to the front of the handle. The monitor is attached to the handle with the WC NATO clamp.

Setup #2:
The monitor attached directly to the camera via a WC 100mm NATO rail with the WC NATO clamp. Here you can also notice the WC NATO 100mm rail on the side of the top plate where I can attach the Bomb EVF via the Spinner.

This is all click-clack no fuss instant rigging. No tools required! :wink5:

The EPIC top plate is ViewFactor.

Not to pick on Wooden Camera here, because he has a product that serves a real purpose... This is more of a generalized comment aimed at RED and a number of other accessory makers who are jumping onto the NATO rail train here. These "safety" rails would not be a necessary item if more accessory makers would use the rail slots for their intended purpose[es]. Just sayin'

Wish that the Safety Rail also came as a standard NATO/STANAG profile piece and not raised up the 3/8" or whatever it is on that base it has.... ???

Yep. I really love Wooden Camera stuff. Great products, in stock, and they ship immediately.

Actually, I think Ryan uses a time machine to go into the future and get my order in before I place it. My shipping notices literally come in 5 seconds after I checkout.

enlighten me..! the rail slot is for the mounted accessory to fit into the slots so it won't move left or right!? I'm not that military savvy...

Are these NATO rails heavy or light? What are they made of?

Basically, do they add a lot to the weight of the camera? Especially if you have 2 or 3 mounted on it.

Thanks!

They're solid aluminum. They aren't that heavy...

They are a few grammes. You wont notice the weight at all.

Also Im impresed by them, for cinematography we have a much better use for the rail than their origional use. They are accurate, repeatable solid mounts. And light.

Thanks for the info! Sounds great that they are so light...

What do you mean by that?
