Hey Guys.

Anybody got any experience with the Wooden Camera follow focus units?

thinking about grabbing one but cant seem to find many people who have used them before.

Thanks.

I had some bad experience with it and returned it immediately.

I purchased it based on Phil’s NAB 2018 post ( he mentioned some good things about it).
The problem I had was... I felt a bit of play/delay. I used the follow focus with Zeiss milvus lenses for my testing.

However, the things I like about this follow focus is... it mounts to a single rod (either 15 or 19mm with adapter) and it’s very compact in size.

By the way, I am referring to their Zip Focus. Just want to make sure we are talking about same product.

Thanks for the feedback UDay. I'm however specifically referring to the UFF-1 which is 2:1 gear ratio for cinema lenses.
