Is there a way to disable the 0.4EV of protection when using RA/RC?

I know I can pull back 0.4 with exposure, but then the blown highlights map to much lower than 1 in the output file and the whole image has to be lifted in another application. Is there a work around within RA/RC or a way to disable the "easy" mode?

In current builds there is no EV offset. Also, when there was, putting exposure at -0.4 exactly balanced the image and did not need a post lift elsewhere.

Really?

So reducing exposure by 0.4EV in Red Alert doesn't retrieve details in the highlights anymore?

So it's just in the in-camera monitoring now?

I just double checked and in RA 3.38 I am sure I am able to retrieve something by setting exposure to -0.4EV. Am I missing something?

REDcine I'll have to check. The matrix for colour correction can cause values to clip, which can be retreived by -ve exposure, similarly, setting up a higher than 320 ISO can cause values to clip that can be retrieved. The camera does not have an 0.4EV offset in it either now.

One of these is with -0.4EV and one is without. They are from RA with DRX, but I seem to get the same without DRX.
