  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Wish List for new Creative Suite

Saw this the other day thats great news. What happened to Audition? It didn't disappear but it just seemed like Adobe neglected it and invited Soundbooth into the fold instead. Soundbooth always felt more a prosumer level app that had limited functionality.

I always wished they would bring back shortcut for unlinking audio. I know you can move audio (temporarily detach it) but often you are deleting sync audio after cut is in place.

Synch issues still exist with externally dual system audio. Even worse with multi system audio. There are very easy work arounds though. I'm sure they will get this fixed the next major update. I have a strong feeling we will see a few fixes in a few days.

Call me lazy but just in case:

0. The ability to work with Adobe products and Apple Quicktime over AFP network and rendering to QT files larger than 2GB.

Resolve on a Linux with multiple GPU support was in existence way before Mercury engine...

I don't have that strong memory to quote, but, its have been said many times here on this forum that MPE isn't just about GPU acceleration.. the 64-bit architecture and other stuff built inside this engine is the key.. you still get real-time playback of DSLR and R3D files without the need for GPU to kick in.. try to install CS4 and work with such files, then install CS5 (without enabling GPU acceleration) on the same machine and see the difference in performance.. and well CUDA is not an invention by adobe, they just write the proper software to use the proper technology, that was my point complaining about what apple is doing to its users..
I never seen an editing app that is capable of handling all these formats natively..
one thing also about adobilizing things is price, how much would you pay for a Resolve on Linux (I'm not talking hardware just a license)?

Make Premier and AE one damn program and forget this ridiculous Dynamic Link stopgap ever existed.

wait for CS9 OR CSX. They have seperate teams working on each program individually. Don't cross your fingers..... MPE in AE will be a good start. The cool thing about Adobe is they have some really cool new blood with real workflow development experience now working for them. The new RED settings and interfaces in both AE and PPro look awesome. I cant wait for the releases.
