Hi guys

Im building my own Octocopter to fly a MX with my scarlet W, saving a huge amount of money from getting the M600 etc. (Will be doing a DIY build log - starting soon)

Im just getting round to sending the signal from the scarlet to the monitor on the ground, and will need a sender and receiver.

Not trying to spend all my budget on it, but something mid range as most of our drone work is not 100s of feet up in the air but more near ground aerial work so distance isn't a huge priority.

Somewhere ideally around the 300-400 dollar mark would be ideal but 500 if need be. I appreciate some systems are a few thousand but its just out of budget currently.

Any views or links / recommendations?

Cheers
Lewis

Not to be “that guy” but do you really want to skimp on something that will be carrying a $10k+ package in the air? What if you accidentally fly out of sight and your monitor is your only way to fly? You definitely don’t want that to crap out.

For $500 you’re looking at entry level wireless like the original Paralinx or Nyrius systems that I wouldn’t dare trust on a drone. At the very least I’d look at a used Vaxis system or something. Can probably find one in the $1500 range. Ideally you want something that was designed for drone use.

Why not go with the DJI light bridge? It kicks ass. Honestly the best bang for your buck.
