I'm looking into wireless monitoring options for a production next month. Having never used wireless before, I was wondering what people had found as a reliable option. I've read up on Teradek's options and the Paralinx, as well as a couple smaller options. Thought and suggestions appreciated.

I have Bolt and CamWave. Bolt is small, 1/2 the price, light.

Hi!

If you are in LA or New York I'd be happy to set up an in person demonstration of the PARALINX ARROW system either by myself or through a reseller like Abel Cine.

I'm always happy to answer any questions or concerns about the ARROW family of wireless HD systems.

The Bolt's transmitter is bigger and heavier than the Paralinx, but it has a simpler power cable: Lemo to D-Tap. The Paralinx is much smaller and lighter, but has a funky D-Tap to 12v to 5v converter to USB to Mini USB cable. They both have similar reach. I received one of the first Paralinx units shipped and it has been rock solid. I've been very happy with it. I use an HDMI to DVI adapter on the back of my 17" Panasonic monitor. That way, there is no need for for an HDMI to HD-SDI converter.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I really like a lot of the features of Paralinx. And need to look into the Bolt a little more. We are going to be filming on the side of a cliff, so along this same vein, what sort of portable monitors have you found to be nice? Lightweight is preferable. Thanks again for the great suggestions.
