Yes - actually "Epic(or Scarlet) Cam #" or "Epic(or Scarlet) Cam Name" as the default would be even more explicit, if there are enough characters allowed in that text field.

Can someone comment on how essential REDMOTE is...Did not order as part of my original package and wondering if I gonna wish I had.

For example, You're working with the EVF, you use your Redmote to pilot the camera instead of fetching and having to replug the LCD...

of course only if there's just one camera of the same type on set.

I suppose it's not possible to read out the serial-number and attach it to the model?
EPIC 12345 (<-S/N) would be unique number…

I think if you put the "name your camera" info/notice right into the instructions-readme for the next FW-Update/Release more people will notice that giving the camera a name makes a lot of sense - really don't think that many people know about this in detail.
