Newbie here! First Red One project! Red One has build 17 but FCP Installer says it only supports up to build 16 ...

I'm following directions from white pages - test footage appears "strobe-y" after I log and transfer it into my timeline. Test footage at 4k & 2k.

I'm thinking bug might be because footage is from a camera with Build 17 ... but I'm a newbie so I'm sure I'm doing SOMETHING wrong ... anybody have experience with this sort of issue? Thanks!

PS - Mac Pro with 8 Core, 16 GB Ram, yada, yada, yada ...

just log can captured several CF cards worth of footage from a build 17 camera. no issues. make sure your settings are transcoding to pro res 422 hq, and make sure your playback settings are at its highest. ie, unlimited, full framerate, EVERYTHING maxed.

I talked to Red about this, and apparently since apple has not fully tested compatibility with build 17 or 18 footage they will not allow Red to say it's compatible.
