  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Will it be wise to invest in lenses now?

Hi,

As we are getting closer to delivery of EPIC X Stage II and Stage II , I would like some suggestions on buying of lenses
that will cover 5K in EPIC and maybe upto 8K in near future with monstro upgrade....
Will it be wise to invest in lenses such as Ultra,RPP's or Cooke with dynamic state of the industry...like in Angeniux HR 25-250 mm there is no sensor coverage from 25mm to 32mm in our EPIC M...plus on Cooke S4 12mm is also vingenting at 5K...Your opinions...

Red Pro Primes (still resolve among the best)
Arri Master Primes (future proof)
Leica Summilux C primes new gold standard, long long wait list)
Angenueix Optimo DP Rouge Zooms 16-42 and 30 to 80 (excellent coverage - well reviewed zoom that is as good as many prime sets)

Older but awesome Canon K35 Rehoused PL Mount lenses are FF35 and will cover FF35MM sensor - set for sale here

Ultra Primes are also nice... not as sharp as RPP and Master Primes...

and some people are reporting good things about the Lomo (russian) illumina Prime lenses and equally good reports about Cooke Panchros

With the exception of RPP and Illuminas (too new to tell) the rest have INCREDIBlE RESALE VALUE. Pro Cine Lenses are a SOLID and SAFE investment
and hold their value for decades.

Hi,
Thanks Tim....I am just worried about the coverage.....
