I'll be editing a feature shot on RED in 4K soon and was just wondering if my current system is sufficient enough. Would really appreciate your help with the following questions!
1. Will my HP Z800 with specs below be enough to edit with Red Raw? If not, how do you think I should upgrade the system?
. Z800 with Intel Xeon CPU X5550 @ 2.67GHz
. 12GB Ram
. 500GB SATA system drive
. NVIDIA GeForce GTX570
2. I'm thinking about getting this drive to edit from. Will it be fast enough? http://www.amazon.com/G-Technology-...TF8&qid=1377905839&sr=8-1&keywords=g+raid+4tb
4. Will adding a Red Rock help achieve my goal with my current system?
3. If upgrading the system isn't enough, will the latest MBPr with a thunderbolt drive work better? Or iMac/Mac Pro?
