Hello,

I'm about to film a wildlife documentary where I need a remote trigger to film a cow giving birth to a calf, either through the web browser for monitoring and trigger or with some movement trigger. I'll be close to a power source.

Anyone has the experience ?

I have a Komodo-X and a Monstro.

Thanks for any advise.

Have you thought about long distance wifi dishes to a home base? Or potentially a 4g/5g modem on site. For both you could use red's network connect for monitoring and triggering through your web browser.

Thanks for the idea Josh. I'll probably go the large card route using 4TB could get me close to 10 hours. Wich could be enough to catch a whole night. If the calf is born I could trim the R3D clip to the needed after wards. Or delete the card if It's not yet born...

Sounds good. The tools are good, but everything is more complicated than just recording for 10 hours.
