  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"WILDERNESS" SHOT ON DRAGON INFRARED OLPF

The new edit looks really good to me Ivan, but I thought the first version was good enough to leave up in it's own right too. In terms of content, I think they're both great examples of revealing the mystery and beauty and magic of the subject matter. Aside from that, I'd say they're reference-quality examples of what can be done with modern technology to capture IR images in motion. Thanks.

Thank you Guys for all the nice comments.

Les, I understand. Tthe second is just a litle closer to a path i am currently exploring... There might be other versions at some point as I usually keep implementing and reworking my own projects for some time.... I like to see a piece evolving in unexpected directions with new footage, possibilities, ideas etc. its a freedom I have on these personal works .. however i try to keep the work on the same line and spirit..
But you are right, these two version have their own specific taste.. so you can find the first one on the first post as well.

Thanks again

Hi Wesley thanks for your questions.

In my opinion there are no rules except to do what looks good to your eyes and make you feel what you want to feel. Although I currently cannot tell a lot about this particular lighting as we have some commercial project on the go that utilises these techniques, my best advise would be to experience different lighting possibilities, until you find what looks good to you. just explore the possibilities and enjoy the ride. there is no dogma here, you are definitely out of the skin tone debate:-) Infra red is not one look.. its million of them. so enjoy the discovery and have fun :-)
