Has anyone developed a monitor only version of the control app? It would great to have an iPad connected for a directors monitor that cannot control the camera. Or locks the control element. It would be very useful when on my travels instead of carrying monitor and wireless system especially with limited real estate on camera

You can also access the picture without any control via a browser using a device on the same network. I’ve used this multiple times with clients. It doesn’t work in every circumstance, but it’s a helpful tool

On a doc flying to multiple locations. Wanted to use iPad as monitor to cut down on kit. Might buy holly land as the link wasn’t great direct from camera

The wireless video feed is very unreliable and prone to interference in my experience. I'd recommend a better antenna on the camera (like a lollipop antenna) and also try and use a wired usb-c connection to the iPad instead, where that's convenient. That will only work on an iPad with a SIM card and hot spot enabled however.

Thinking to get something like Holly Land 4k and send to iPad that way. Thanks for your thoughts

I would also recommend the Accsoon Cineeye 2s Pro, sends a stable connection to multiple mobile devices at once as well as the receiver if you want to use that. I use it every shoot and hand the director my iPad. Has about a 60ms delay. Not bad at all and the range is crazy.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend Hollyland. I've purchased the Mars 400S, and they don't work well in a lot of scenarios. The app was working better back when I got them also, they kind of lack support in a year after the release. I suggest looking at least for a dual band like recent Accsoon, they are a bit more stable and fast (and when I say a bit - it's a bit, not that they are like Teradek Bolt or Vaxis Storm). But being able to connect 4 iPhones/iPads is really handy, just be aware that having and AC on the receiver is not an option with an iPad or iPhone simultaneosly - it dramatically slows down the feed, at least on the Hollyland's
