  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just wonder when filming like 5K on a dragon sensor, what's the widest focal length of lens in Master Prime series I can use without any distortion ? I used to use 25mm, just looking for a wider lens, but afraid of distortion.

5K on Dragon is smaller than 5K on the MX sensor, it fits within the standard S35 aperture window. In a nutshell, all the Master Primes fully cover that size. Not sure what you mean by distortion. I can't comment on the 21mm or 16mm, but the 18mm has visible vignette and some corner clipping or port-hole effect when shooting 6K on Dragon. The 12 and 14 mm MP's actually do a bit better on covering, but they are also newer and larger sensors were on the map when they were being designed. IIRC, the 12mm actually covers 6K with some vignette. Both of those will cover 5K on MX and for sure the smaller 5K on Dragon just fine.
