Wi-Fi control

[Thomas Koch]

Does anyone have any info on what is controllable via this mysterious spec. I've searched and can't seem to find anything about it on either Epic or Scarlett, and I was not able to attend NAB.

Thanks!

Not sure but I think that it could be just about ANYTHING! My guess is that there will be a piece of software that will use standard wifi function of any computer and simply transmit ANY control signal between the computer and the camera. Revolutionary, as it is, it only makes TOTAL sense......Use technology that EVERYONE already has and uses! Funny nobody thought of that before....

Would be cool if u could attach sensors to the actors which would communicate with the camera and measure the distance to the lens.
The camera lens would then always know what focus to set for that actor.
The camera operator could then switch focus just by selecting the actor he wants to have to focus on. That would be amazing!
