  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Why won't REDCODE install on my PPC?

In all the research I've done REDCODE will work on a non intel based MAC. I have a 1.67Ghz PPC G4. 1 Gig of RAM. Its not the fastest but its worked fine for other HD stuff. I installed the REDCODE codec for FCP. (i have FCP 6) and i try opening the proxies in FCP and just black screen. "REDCODE" is not showing up in my list of codecs either. The "redcode qt.component is in the right folder... what am i doing wrong?

REDCode is INTEL only. It will not work on PPC, and will not work on a G4. RECODE is not HD, it's RED RAW 4k with realtime (on a fast intel mac) viewing at 2k or 1k.
