Why no C-Mount?

The title says it all. I really thought that the cinema version was going to have a C Mount? It my be late in the game but can the C mount still be an option?

It would be a great option for the Scarlet. I'm sure they are thousands of old Bolex lenses around. I really miss shooting music videos with a nice small camera and my 10mm Switar! A simple screw-in C-mount has to be the lowest-tech lens mount ever.

It would be a bit of a hassle to adjust back focus between Bolex lenses and other C-mounts, since Bolex ones are set to compensate for the beam splitter.

There are an unlimited number of lens mount options for EPIC and Scarlet. Not all are electronically controlled. RED will offer quite a few and third parties will undoubtedly offer the rest. We'll list the RED offered options over time. We just aren't there yet.

I think there's still a good possibility of a C mount, whether from RED or someone else, though not right away.
