  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Why I want an EPIC NOW!!!! (a.k.a The DSLR killer)

DSLR is still not dead.

Tom Lowe showed us already here with his Leica Summilux-C test video for BandPro

that instead of Epic-M he took Canon 1Dmk4 with PL mount for the particular time-lapse shot

of the wind-machines at Stary Night in the deserts of the Southwestern US.

Why?

Probably because Canon 1Dmk4 sees more in the night at low light than Epic-M with MX.

The same thing told us Mike Seymour in his Epic-M report.

So go back now to Fredrik's shot there is one more example done almost in a similar way

that also shot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II video that has really gone viral with 2.5 million hits on YouTube.

for timelapse, DSLR is kind of a given. full uncompressed RAW, 18+ megapixel of resolution, and better sensitivity than any video, especially with built in noise reduction algorithms that can be done with stills.

But I think now one is heading my way... THANK GOD!!!!!... thankyou RED, Thanks JIM.

Fantastic news!!!! Congrats Mark -- can't wait to see the badass stuff you come up with :)

Frank - awesome spot. Beautiful camera work. I like the camera descender in the staircase especially.

Agreed, great work on this. Stuntman really delivered as well!
