Why does RCXP ask about updates every startup?

The latest version of RCX Pro asks me if I want to check for startups every time I open it. Is there a fix for this?

do you mean updates?

You can change the frequency RCX-Pro checks for updates in the preferences window -> Updates tab, or you can disable the feature by unchecking the "Automatically Check for Updates" option.

I've been wondering the same thing. Doesn't automatic mean "don't bother me"?

The problem is not that it's checking for updates, it's that it asks you every time you start the program if you WANT it to check for updates, which I tell it every time that I do. I think it's just a glitch in the program.

I've found the issue in the updater code. It will be fixed in Build 11.

Ironically, you won't get the fix unless you check for updates :smiley:
