Some of us may think that naming the Scarlet S-35 Epic S, might not be the best idea.

Others - I am sure - love that.

What are your thoughts, and why?

Dunno why the poll didn't come...

but the options are:

1: Epic-S is just so cool
2: I hate Epic-S as that confuses the customers of the value of Epic X
3: Epic? Scarlet? Geee, I just worry if my Z1 is still the best cam on earth

Happy voting!

EPIC-S. Because it's not misleading. It's an EPIC, with less options. Simple. Clean. Perfect.

The name is correct. But bugger the name; bring on the cameras, any & all of them! :-)

Calling it EPIC-S is much cleaner. Scarlet is 2/3", Epic is S35, they will probably call the Monstro cams something else.

Also, it makes more sense. The EPIC-S has all of the features of the EPIC-X except high frame rates and data rates. Scarlet is a different sensor.

I could care less what the name is, I just want whatever it is to be released yesterday!

Epic-S, for all the reasons above.

Though I honestly don't care what Red would call it, I just can't wait to get my hands on one :)

Epic-S if it keeps the sensor size/generation clear. We just need to pray that the FF35 Monstro line gets just named Monstro/Monstro-S or we're going to be in for an obnoxious naming convention: Epic FF35 S

It would be nice if this move means that each product line will be for each sensor size:

Scarlet - 2/3" MX
Epic/Epic-S - S35 MX
Monstro/Monstro-S - FF35
?Kraken? - 645
?Oppenheimer? - 618
