  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I have used the RED camera a number of times and fell in love with it. In fact just a week ago we shot a music video on the 7D, and after looking at the footage I thought to myself, "I really wish we would have shot RED this time!".

I got to thinking, who is RED? How many employees does RED have? Who is it exactly who programs the codec? How would you even begin to write your own codec? The must be hundreds upon hundreds of people who are a part of the RED team. Who are these guys?

Jarred and Jim are around quite a bit as is the rest of the team...

Its very wicked stuff to be here and being able to talk to the guys as well as the rest of the RED community!
 
i think they are LEAN and MEAN. a true 21st century corporation. agile.

i do not think there are hundreds of them.

but i don't know. just speculating.

i am pretty sure they keep deanan in a box, like the gimp in pulp fiction. and throw him some raw meat every few days. i've said it before and i'll say it again, that guy is a mad genius.

now graeme, well, he is from another planet altogether.

Nope, pronunciation is similar as when you say "Graham" you don't pronounce the "h" anyway, at least I don't say "Gray ham".

I'd have to add that those who have taken the plunge and purchased an actual camera are also RED. Never before has a company allowed for so much input from its customers.
