Who here is using the Canon 24mm 1.4 II?

Anyone here using the Canon 24mm 1.4 II? Any pros/cons? How does it perform on an MX chip? Scarlet, Epic? My brightest lens is a 35 1.4 and I am worried that may be to long on a Scarlet with the crop factor. May need to shoot in an unpredictable indoor environment this Wednesday.

I can't compare it to the 35, but the 24 II is my favorite EF lens on an MX. Nice FOV, great image, as fast as you would expect.

Samir, GREAT lens, much better than the Canon 35L 1.4!

What 35 1.4 do you have?

The 24 II is SHARP 'n CONTRASTY WO, many 35 1.4 lenses are NOT, so you probably would get a different look from the 2 if used @ 1.4...

Tommaso - I only have a Contax Zeiss 35/1.4 manual focus. I think I am just going to skip filming with my scarlet and just take some stills on a 5D3. The crop factor is what kills me. Wish I had an Epic.
