  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Who here drives a European make? Mercedes? BMW? VW/Audi? Landrover?

Man, I wish you were closer, I would definitely take you up on that! I have a 2004 Merccedes SL55 AMG that I absolutely love, but I have dumped more money into in the past year, that I'm seriously doubting my judgement in cars. From the ABC hydraulic pump going bad, to a squeaky front control arm, to now having the gas tank baffle flapping around at the slightest bump. Great car, but lots of things going wrong that just should not be, and are astronomically expensive to fix. Love your photos by the way!

@Frank hahaha so true. I was shocked when I saw mercedes taxis in europe!

@Kemalettin There's just something about european cars though. My sl55 is a gasaholic :(

@stefan Thanks and yes they are expensive to fix but you'll be surprised at how much some asian imports cost now a days to fix too. I have an 03 SL55 and luckily for me no gas tank noise but they are common. What about your supercharger pulley bearing, that making noise yet? We replaced 2 the other day for 2 sl55 amg. It sounded like a diesel before the transplant :)

No, No supercharger pully bearing issue yet, at least none that I have heard, but it is a 10 year old car, so things do happen. Just wish they didn't all happen at once, and didn't all cost an arm and a leg to fix. Great car though!
