Pretty good list. I would add:

An ancestor: William Harvey was an English physician who was the first person to describe completely and in detail the systemic circulation and properties of blood being pumped to the body by the heart in his book: "De Motu Cordis" (otherwise known as "On the Motion of the Heart and Blood")

Louis Pasteur
B.F. Skinner
Robert Goddard

And a guy that died the day I was born:

Albert Einstein

Einstein. Like.

I think a few nods should be given to sci-fi writers for inspiring people to create, invent and explore.

Edward E. (Doc) Smith
Issac Asimov
Arthur C. Clarke
HG Wells

To name but a very few...

We should also throw Syd Mead into the mix too...

Jesus

Ask the film transfer guys and girls who are now seeking employment in the child-care and food-service industries if the Red camera is revolutionary.

Wow, so snobbish. You speak as if these are bad industries to work in.

Not cool

Got to be Internet/communication systems. Without them not only this forum and you guys wouldn't be here, there would have been no youtube, vimeo, facebook, online application and prcoessing of all sorts of chore, netflix, online movie distribution, etc.

Yeah internet is up there and high.

Jesus was only only piece of the engine that is responsible for the biggest massacres in human history, the plain out insane laws how one should live his life and disgusting inequality. People in the modern society are trying to break out from those things greated by very cruel people. Not really "changed everything", at least for better.

I was going to say Jesus of Nazareth.

I never saw him take part in any massacres except his own.

The very fact that there are extremists in all three of the major world religions based on the life and history of this one man is probably grounds to say "changed everything", not to mention the ideas of love, justice, peace, and mercy that he was killed for.

Those are just the facts, it's irrelevant what one thinks about them.

Sorry to those who have had bad experiences with people.

He was one piece of that engine, doesn't matter if he wanted or not. Without Jesus they wouldn't have came up with christianity and go on killing spree all over the world to spread the holy word. They were not extremists.

The holy bible is one of the most racist and mental books ever written. It's full of inequality against other people. That is a fact.

Even christians don't live their lives anymore how bible says they should and don't believe in those fairytales written back in the day when you could make people believe in everything. It's not a long ago when people were burning innocent women because they think they were witches. That still happens in some parts of the Africa, but western people are now more educated, smarter and can think by themself. Witch burnings will never stop on some parts of the world, but it did stop among people smart enough to realize there is no such a thing as witch, it was all made up. Same will happen to all religions. Religions will never fully go away, but modern and educated people will stop believing just like they did with witches. It might take 400 years or 1000 years, but it will happen.
