  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I was stupid and missed the pre-order window at Best Buy, so tomorrow I'm standing outside the nearest Radio Shack at 5:45am to get my greasy paws on the HTC EVO 4G.

Can. Not. Wait.

Anyone else partaking in this lunacy? :out: :beer:
 
And, just like that, the EVO is mine. Mine! MINE!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this thing. Especially coming off of a Treo 755p. It feels like moving from a tricycle to a Porche!
 
I've been reading good reviews. The only thing that got a poor review was the battery life. How do you find it. Are you in one of the 4G community?
 
picking mine up tonight... it's going to be amrazing. got the final pre order possible at the local sprint store. the 720p video off it looks like garbage though from the previews I've seen, doesn't matter though, it's probably top 3 droids on the market... and once android 2.2 goes to it, it's gonna even better.
 
I'm in New York, so no 4G yet. Can't comment on battery life yet, since the phone was not fully charged when i got it. It only had 1 third of the battery and I just finished charging it fully now. Tomorrow will be the real battery test. :)

BTW, I'm typing this on the Evo right now. Awesome.
 
Bloody hell,i like it!!..wish it was avavilable in the Uk!..i`d probably actually get one..at the moment i hav`nt got a mobile,yes it`s true.Managed to avoid the need,so far..
 
I recently was turned to Advanced task killer app for the adroid evo. My phone used to last about 8 hours, with a few calls and surfing the web, checking emails, and texting. Now 12 hours of doing the same, but using app killer before putting my phone to stand by, my phone's battery is only at half use. It's literally increased my battery life 3 fold. Pretty great, I was thinking the battery sucked, but am very happy with battery life now.
