  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Camera powers up and fans engage, rear LCD lights up, no text appears and does not go into boot cycle. Quick power on/offs does not clear nor does just powering without anything else plugged in. Fault is on Red battery and Red AC power. Support call made and ticket logged.
 
Disconnect battery. Switch on and off several times. Connect battery. Power up. Not good, but a fix for the moment.
 
did you try to boot with and without CF Card inserted. helped me once.

Yawn. Shut off camera. Wait 20 seconds. Power Up. It will go into boot cycle.
 
What is the technical explanation of pushing the power button without battery attached?

pushing powerbutton without battery causes full electrostatic discharge of capacitor. Sometimes residual voltage is reason for failed resets of electronic devices
 
I experienced it a few times on Build 15. I find holding the power button for half a second when turning on the camera seemed to get rid of the problem.
