I am having some issues with noise, I have it setup at 800 and my histogram and traffic lights seems perfectly exposed nothing clipped, using 85mm Canon L lens, with variable nd filter, when I bring to Resolve for some color correction after color correcting, I still get noise, I know that this something to do with my Iso at 800 or can it be black shading issue, I know that this is a wide question but anything could help. I can always use neat video but I find it that there should be no noise during daylight.

Thanks,

Have you Black Shaded and was it done with the camera set to the setting you are shooting with and up to running temperature.

No, and what is the running temperature 34c? I will be doing that now.

Let the camera run for 30 mins.. it should be in that 34c range.. then do the Black shading.. make sure the lens cap is on or better yet the body cap. Its important the sensor is not being exposed to any light. It will take about 20 mins. You will see the status on the screen

More info about what codecs you are using would be helpful. Are you certain that you are grading from the RAW files?

8:1 , 24p, 800iso,

Should I use a different codec perhaps more higher like 12:1, or less 6:1 ?

Black shade with the camera warmed up, I bet it will solve your issue.

By the way, changing ISO DOES NOT affect noise levels... it's just RAW data. You are shooting 800 ISO to protect highlights.

Anything from 6:1 to 8:1 compression is acceptable. I wouldn't go above 8:1 in most situations.

You say you are getting noise after color correcting, but you say nothing of before. If the footage goes into Resolve without notice but comes out noisy, then you; may not be grading from R3d, and may be pushing your transcoded files too far. That is why I asked about codecs.
